2024 has been an incredible year at Indulge. In the year we celebrated our 15th birthday, we were shortlisted for three high-profile awards and worked on some epic projects.
So, to celebrate the end of year 15 of Indulge, join me on a quick trip down memory lane...
Our year in review
February
We kicked things off in February when we were pleased to be able to announce our appointment as the digital agency for Sovereign Group and Your Island Pension (YIP).
In a critical year in the pensions sector in Guernsey, Sovereign Group, underneath the YIP brand embarked upon the rollout of its secondary pensions solution. Appointed thanks in part to our extensive experience in working with Nest Pensions in the UK over the past decade, Indulge was handed the remit of supporting Sovereign and YIP’s digital communications strategy.
April
Moving into April, the first of our award successes was announced. One of the most prestigious ceremonies in the SEO calendar, Indulge celebrated being selected as one of five finalists in the Best Use of Search (Finance) category.
Meanwhile, Pat, now an established Channel Islands celebrity in the emerging AI space visited the NED Forum to deliver a session discussing the topic of ‘how AI thinks’.
April also saw us bring APEXX Global’s incredible value proposition in the payment orchestration market to life with the launch of the firm’s cost-saving calculator.
May
May was birthday month. Indulge turned 15, or as I like to put it, we turned 12 iPhone generations old, or 118 versions of Google Chrome old.
We also took the opportunity to get the team together in Guernsey for our summer team social. The event this year involved a scavenger hunt around St Peter Port before food.
June
Heading to the summer, we kicked things off by celebrating Mayna achieving her Digital Marketing Institute certification.
In June, we also launched (what would later become) the award-winning AI orchestration tool, Baxter. Conceived as Indulge’s answer to the ever-popular question, ‘how should I use AI within my organisation’.
Baxter, since launch, has established itself as a key part of our internal processes and a key part of the conversations we are having with our clients.
Here's the introduction to Baxter video:
July
We may be specialists in working in the financial services sector, but we also get to be involved in some other projects.
One such project was in supporting the launch of Victoria Park. Dubbed ‘Guernsey’s Home of Football’, Victoria Park is set to open to the public in 2025 providing the island with a state of the art sports and events facility. Victoria Park the new home ground to Guernsey FC, currently competing in the Isthmian League.
August
In August we welcomed Project Manager, Beth Murphy to the team. Forming part of Indulge’s growing UK team, Beth has taken on the role of leading the delivery of projects at Indulge.
It was a busy month in the Guernsey studio as Russell was joined by Owen who was taking part in the IoD leadership shadowing scheme. It’s a scheme we’ve supported for years and in fact, was initially where we first worked with Mayna, our Digital Marketing Executive.
August was also a time to step out of the studio, with Paul, Pat, and Russ travelling to the New Forst for our scheduled business strategy session. The trip afforded us the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings.
September
With September came the second of our three award nominations this year; this time Indulge was shortlisted in the Digital Agency of the Year category at the inaugural Financial Promoter Awards.
Shortlisted for our work with Nest Pensions, Carey Olsen, and Taxolution Advisory, the nomination represented a significant validation of the work the agency has been doing.
October
Hot off the heels of the Financial Promoter Awards nomination was the third award nomination of 2024. Baxter, our AI orchestration tool picked up the nomination in the Innovation in Technology at the Véyaon Awards.
November
And so, with all of the recent talk of award nominations, November was the month of award ceremonies.
Kicking things off in London at the Financial Promoter Awards, we were delighted to pick up the Highly Commended status in the Digital Agency of the Year category. A huge achievement, with judges commenting on the quality of the results of our work as well as our innovative approach to applying technology within our agency.
Next in November came the Véyaon Awards ceremony where we were honoured to pick up the Innovation in Technology Award for our AI product, Baxter.
An amazing end to an amazing year!

- Paul, Pat, and Russell took a deep-dive into the Oasis ticket sale fiasco which saw thousands of would-be showgoers suffer a truly terrible UX journey.
- Off the back of an almost year-long project with a global banking brand, Russell looked at what user-centric banking app design means.
- Paul outlined his case for what he describes as our industry’s move from SEO to AIO.

- Luke told the story of the rendering engines that rule the web, outlining just how reliant the open web is on a few key players.
- With AI fast becoming a feature of search, Paul conducted (what is to date) the largest study into AI Overviews in UK financial services, outlining how reliable (or not) the results can be.
