2015 has been a great year for web design, there has been more freedom with typography and solid statistics to back up the importance of mobile design, resulting in most major websites being redesigned and becoming responsive.
As a web designer, it's always inspiring to stumble across innovative websites. Immersive experiences using a mixture of video, animation and audio have stood out to me this year, bucking the trend for simple flat design, which also works very well.
I have admired the following websites during 2015 for their oustanding approach to user experience and design principles (apologies in advance to our development team for the template system that sneaked in).
