It is our pleasure to announce the launch of our latest Guernsey web design and web development project; Tube Map. A website that is designed make it easy to navigate your way around the underground train systems of the world whilst also taking in the sights and sounds of the city you are in!
Tubemap.com is set to be the go-to place for anyone looking for an easy way to find their way around the London Underground train system and as such Indulge Media wanted to create a site that was as much a joy to use as it is useful.
The work was placed in the hands of the Indulge Guernsey web design team who were tasked with first creating a layout to the site that was immediately useable. The nature of this website means that it will be used by people of all types, this gives the project an interesting challenge to ensure that the design and user experience caters for everybody using the site.
Web Design
The design is centred around a main map area which features scalable views of both underground and ground level maps of London.
Moving into development, the map area of the website took precedence and the Indulge website development team worked tirelessly to create a map that was in sync above and below ground. The result is something we are all extremely proud of and we believe the map itself is something unique to this project.
The map is simple and easy to use, all you need to do is click on a station and the map will automatically locate the station on the ground level map. It is something that is a simple as it is useful and what makes this website destined to be a hit with those travelling around London.
To finish the project off, the site is fully content manageable meaning that it can be updated with ease from anywhere making this website fully future proofed and ready to guide you around London!
