Google has released another Panda algorithm update. Google Panda 4.1 has been released as a gradual roll out, beginning 25th September 2014, with the expectation that it will be complete by the end of this week.
As previously mentioned in our blog released back in June 2014, "Release the Panda 4.0". The upgrade is based on Google's strive to continually improve content by penalising "thin" or "low quality" content. This means that any website that is subject to poor content will lose Search Engine Ranking Performance (SERP).
So what does this mean to you?
By releasing this update so soon after the previous Panda 4.0, it will allow websites the opportunity to attempt to regain there SERP after being hit with penalties back in June. Any websites that attempt to improve content and reduce risk of future penalties may start to reap the rewards by the end of this week. For those that were not hit by the last update, there is risk that this version could have a potential impact. So keep an eye on your SERP and monitor Google Analytics to ensure that you haven't been subject to the wrath of the mighty Panda.

What does the future hold?
Over the past few weeks there has been much speculation as to when Google will be releasing their next Penguin update and many are convinced that one will be released during 2014. Google Penguin is an algorithm that penalises websites that use bad links, link networking or link farms in an attempt to raise SERP. The last Penguin update was back in October 2013. So for those of you wishing to improve your websites link strategy and potentially improve SERP, now is the time!
