2018 is set to be a record breaking year for Skipton Swimarathon with “Over 70% of the 256 swimming slots available now booked, with registration only having been open for three weeks” Business Eye CI.
This year marks the 42nd Skipton Swimarathon and Indulge Media’s 4th year working with the annual fundraising event.
Indulge started working with Skipton Swimarathon back in 2014, which is run jointly by the Lions Club of Guernsey and Guernsey Round Table, sponsored by Skipton International.
The brief was to design and build a web based application that allowed team leaders to register their teams and choose an available swimming slot. The Swimarathon team were then able coordinate the booking and allocation of these slots over the duration of the event.
Then in 2016, Indulge introduced the new responsive, front end Skipton Swimarathon website, making it easier for users to sign up for the fundraising event online using a mobile device.
During the 4 years working with one of Guernsey’s largest annual fundraising events, the event has seen increased interest with a 16.59% growth in participants since 2014, and over £1,480,000 raised for local charities since it started 42 years ago.
