Sometimes it is best to leave the explaining to the legends of the area you are looking at, and experts in the field of website analytics do not come much more 'legend-shaped' than Avinash Kaushik. Kaushik is the author of two book that I constantly have within arms reach (Web Analytics; An Hour a Day and Web Analytics 2.0) both are industry respected bibles of website analytical knowledge.
Kaushik is also the person behind Occam's Razor, a blog that looks deep into how to analyse your website effectively and expertly. As well as this, our legened in question also work as Google's very own Analytics Evangelist (yup, I don't know what that means either).
So, with the introductions over, I would like to point you in the direction of a video that is certainly worth watching. It is a lecture / presentation by Avinash Kaushik who talks his audience through his unique and successful approach to using Google Analytics. It is a great introduction to Google Analytics that looks past all of the data and specifics and simply presents you with a refreshing mind-set to open your eyes to the possibilities of using Analytics. A great introduction, and even inspiring if you are feeling a little bit lost in all of the data. Take a deep breathe, make a cup of coffee and kick back for an hour while you watch this one!
