Make sure Google My Business is up to date
Offices and places of work are facing the need to close.
Where normal service can't be maintained, clear communication is going to help.
As such, we wanted to offer some advice to our clients and contacts to make sure they are making use of simple ways to communicate with their audiences. Google My Business is often going to be the first interaction a client is going to have with your business when searching online, so make sure the information is correct.
When your business hours change
You can update you business hours on Google My Business.
If you're closing phone lines early each day or even extending your contact hours, make sure this is reflected on your profile.
How to contact your team
Now, more than ever, make sure the contact information you have listed on Google My Business and any other online directories is consistent and correct.
Ensure that when your audience searches for your business that Google shows them the correct telephone number and email address.
When your business has to close
If you're not considered an essential business, your business premises have closed to the public - Google My Business provides you with the option to announce a temporary closure.
Clarify that this is the case so that clients are in no doubt.
Making announcements
If you have special instructions for your clients, Google My Business enables you to update your business description with critical information.
In addition to this, you can publish 'posts' directly to the platform, another medium you can use to explain important instructions to your clients.
How we can help
For many of our clients, we maintain access to Google My Business profiles - if you need updates applied, let us know and we can help to apply them.
If you're not even sure if you are making use of Google My Business, get in touch with us and we can help you to work out if you are or not.
