We are proud to announce that, following a lengthy assessment period that started at the beginning of the year, we have achieved the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Regular readers of our blog will have noticed that we have been working towards the assessment for some time. We are pleased that following a great deal of hard work from all in the Indulge Team we were granted the accreditation in September.
The ISO standard focuses on a business’ ability to produce high quality products and services. It covers all aspects of the business, from staff development through to marketing and product and service delivery.
The process consisted of 3 visits by BSI, a third party auditor which works on behalf of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The first of these visits – a pre assessment - was in February, followed by a stage one visit in April and the final visit - stage 2 - in June.
To achieve accreditation we were required to define all the processes and procedures that make up the business and define a plan to keep each of them up to date and measurable. This would therefore establish where we could improve upon our business on a continuous basis and ultimately provide our customers with the best possible service. We therefore defined all our processes and procedures - 63 in all – ranging from guest blogging to staff appraisals.
These policies and procedures were explained in detail to every member of the team and most of them are now are fully accessible on the system so anyone can review or edit them if necessary.
Our achievement was reported in the Guernsey Press, Friday 14th September 2012 and Patrick concluded in the article that;
‘This puts us in an elite band of digital agencies that deliver their products and services based on a level of quality governed by this accreditation. We have strict testing processes in place which ensures that every project the agency is involved in receives close scrutiny and testing before leaving the studio – which this accreditation recognises.’
‘Receiving BSI accreditation demonstrates our commitment to high quality web design and digital marketing services, and ensures that we run our business in an ordered way with culture of continuous improvement.’
We will again be audited by BSI in March next year and every 12 months thereafter. This regular audit will assure our potential, as well as our current, customers that we provide high quality products and services and will continue to do so.
