Code Club featured on BBC Channel Islands News
Indulge Media's efforts were noted on BBC Channel Islands News yesterday evening. The report featured the after school code club at Amherst Primary School, asking budding young coders their thought's. Indulge Media's, Luke Oliver, who runs Code Club on Thursday afternoons highlighted that the islands digital industry needs more investment. The appearance on BBC Channel Islands News was in line with the 2015 Business Plan that was recently released by the Commerce and Employment Department. The Business Plan 2015 outlines that the year ahead will see implementation of a digital innovation centre to help further Guernsey's digital skills.
Amherst Code Club gets a slice of the Pi
Indulge Media were also recognised in December 2014 for donating six Raspberry Pi computers to the Amherst after school coding class. The benefits of the Raspberry Pi in the classroom have been widely recognised by digital professionals, particularly because they provide students with an opportunity to experiment with hardware, electronic projects and creating programmes with very low financial risk. Indulge’s Code Club has inspired similar clubs to set up in Guernsey.
