The world's largest search marketing conference kicks off tomorrow for a two-day stint hosted entirely online for the first time. Representing Indulge will be Paul Wood, who will be delivering the Choice Architecture for Marketers session at 12:25pm on Thursday 1st October.
BrightonSEO, an event typically held twice per year on the UK's south coast has this year shifted online in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Tickets for the conference last year sold out in under 13 minutes, filling the venue to its capacity of 3,500. This year, the event's founder, Kelvin Newman tweeted that he's expecting 10,000 people to register for the event.
Google, Bing & Indulge
Alongside Indulge, speakers will line up from organisations far and wide. Web Trend Analysts, John Mueller and Gary Illyes will be representing Google at a session on Friday afternoon. Microsoft's Bing will also be in attendance, with Principal Program Manager, Fabrice Canel delivering a session on Friday morning.
Overall, attendees will be treated to around 100 sessions over two days, all available for free and online.
Choice architecture
Indulge's Paul Wood will be delivering a session on choice architecture. His talk will explore the challenges that face consumers when they are forced to make choices big and small throughout their daily lives.
Choice architecture is a framework that marketers can use to deliver choice in ways that are helpful to consumers. Whether that's providing the correct incentives, organising complex ideas or expecting error, the application of the principles of choice architecture can improve the lives of the people marketers communicate with.
