As you may be well aware, Indulge has relocated to a larger, more town central office. The main reason for this is to accommodate the steady growth of the company. With Media House, it came to a point where the team found themselves just too close for comfort. We felt the need to expand to a new building where we could all breathe our own air and not just each others.
The office move has given us the benefit of all the delights of a more metropolitan area. Where before we had few shops at our disposal, we now have the convenience of commercial centricity. With the staff having periodic work breaks during the day, they have the freedom of popping off to a coffee shop or patisserie to suit their dietary needs. They say that the poor man walks miles to earn the food and rich man walks miles to digest the food. The richness of our location has made some staff aware that it's not so much their dietary needs that are being suited to, but rather the need for a diet!
But beyond the internal gluttonous nature of the staff, it is the client who also benefits. The once laborious effort of parking that was stapled to a visit of Media House, has now become as inconvenient as leaving your vehicle at the Crown Pier during working hours, which as any local Guernsey commuter would know, really isn’t inconvenient at all. It would almost be a direct westerly walk from the peer to the office. It was considered that turning corners is a real chore for clients, and so a cornerless route was considered as a top requirement for relocation.
Although our days here are young, we seem to have settled in to town life quite well and believe we are yet to reap all benefits. Who knows where the future of Indulge will lead its staff…
