A digital agency built on thinking, for the global financial services industry.
We’ve lost opportunities before because we’ve declared a potential conflict of interest with an existing client. We’ve never lost credibility.
Being specialists in a single sector, we are used to working with companies operating in the same space. We never leave these situations to chance.
If we’re discussing working with a new client that competes with an existing client, we check whether our services overlap and, if they do, we put in place controls to ensure nothing crosses the invisible boundary between clients.
Some clients like it when their agency works with the competition; others don’t. Our approach means you'll always know where you stand.
When we work with clients operating in the same space, we set reasonable rules to ensure there is no information crossover. Where it's appropriate, we assign distinct teams to work on the projects.
Our conflict policy means that:
Every team member has a duty to flag a potential conflict as soon as they spot one
The Director responsible for either affected account owns the assessment
Account Managers are responsible for day-to-day compliance with agreed safeguards on their accounts
Any high-risk conflict requires sign-off from a Director before work proceeds
Our policy documents a wide range of potential safeguards, including:
Separate, senior account managers per account
Named list of shared specialists
Written confidentiality agreements, signed by shared specialists
No side-by-side authoring, meaning no conflicting client projects are scheduled alongside each other
Scheduled conflict assessment re-reviews
If you rely on integrity from your partners, let’s talk.
Conflicts of interest are inevitable when we specialise in one sector. What matters is what we do about them.
