ESI Monitor came to us wanting to add some forms to their website. We told them that wouldn't be enough. What they actually needed was a standalone web application that could grow with them. We built FutureTrack, and it's now used worldwide to help organisations benchmark and improve their sustainability performance.

The Challenge
ESI Monitor helps organisations benchmark, improve, and track their sustainability metrics. When they first approached us, the brief was modest: surface some forms to end users through their website.
We looked at their growth plans and realised that bolting forms onto a website would create problems down the line. What they needed was a standalone, secure piece of web-based software that could scale as their client base grew and their data requirements became more complex.
Our Approach
We challenged the original brief and proposed a fully featured web application instead. ESI Monitor agreed.
Using Agile delivery, we designed and built a secure, accessible platform. The application surfaces data capture functionality and educational content from ESI Monitor's internal sustainability platform, allowing end users to input the information needed to calculate their sustainability benchmarks.
We also developed technology that hooks into ESI Monitor's internal systems and presents performance data to users through a series of interactive charts. This gives organisations a clear, visual picture of where they stand and where they need to improve.
The Outcome
FutureTrack is now used across the world. ESI Monitor has become a leading player in the sustainability benchmarking space, and the application we built is central to that.
What started as a request for some website forms became a platform that drives the business.
